Steven Pinker: Don't worry, trust the statistics!

Highly decorated Harvard Psychology Professor Steven Pinker attacks doom-mongers on both sides of the political spectrum, claiming that in actual fact we never had it so good. He argues in his latest book that we owe this to the enormous progress fuelled by enlightenment, and that we should continue to defend it.
