Gleich vier Trio-Formationen finden Platz in der heutigen Sendung. Florestan Berset, Norbert Pfammatter und Francesco Losavio loten die Grenzen zwischen Form und improvisierten Klangflächen aus, wobei es durchaus mal kratzen darf. A Vol dOiseau heisst ihr Debut-Album.
Das Piano-Trio TROJA mit Peter Zihlmann, Patrick Sommer und Andreas Wettstein lädt mit ihren Bedtime Stories zum Kuscheln im Bett ein, mit verträumten Klängen und schlafraubenden Sekundenzeigern.
Saxofonist Christoph Grab interpretiert Thelonious Monk, wie man ihn noch kaum kennt. Grab hat sich für sein Quintett Reflections und seinem neuen Album «Oneness» Stücken bedient, die auch Kennerinnen und Kennern nicht sehr vertraut sind.
